Thank you all for your support. He started his job yesterday as a busboy at a Greek restaurant on the strip. It's a half mile from his apartment. His roommate works there also. This is such a weird feeling because he has never been away from home (except for rehabs (3x in 5 years) and 30 days in juvenile hall when he was younger). But now he's really far away! Normally when he would get a job he would do well for a while then he would use the money for weed, booze, or pills and lose the job. This time he is in a controlled environment so he knows he cannot do that plus he has PEER support which unfortunately seems to mean more than family support but it's okay, I'll take it. I reminded him of this and he said he knows and that he has had money and only been using for food. His dad gave him $200 on a debit card until the food stamps kick in. Yes that's right, in Florida if you are in one of the rehab type of places they consider you homeless so he will get $180 per month in food stamps. We'll take it because it offsets our costs. I am cautiously optimistic and hopeful and we are really enjoying the peace in our home for now. Prayers that this continues because I really have all my faith in the man upstairs and also to all of you that you have peace on your journey.
