I know nothing will soothe your loss if your sweet companion must move on. The hole is huge when they leave us. I still get choked up and teary.
Just know you are doing the right thing for her and she needs your help. No one should live in pain so bad that they can't be held or petted.

It is completely heartbreaking, but if it is the time, letting them go with their dignity and respect is the absolute most precious gift you can give an animal that has given so much to you and your family.
