Last night I was going to the bathroom every two minutes and feeling a lot of pressure. I have had enough Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)'s to know I was coming down with one. By this morning my temp was over 100 and I NEVER EVER run above 97.something. As a kid I'd have strep and my temp would be 96.8 and the doctor would dismiss it until the test came back positive.
So I called doctor and went in - had a hard time giving them a sample. This is the part that scares me. Ten years ago I had a "neurogenic bladder". I could not go on my own and retained a lot so I had to use catheters for about a year. Eventually it got better but now I'm having the same retention problem. doctor is concerned about a repeat of that time in my life.
The nurse checked the urine and said "Something is going on". doctor prescribed antibiotics and we'll see if that does the trick. I hope so.
