This is a good case to watch for all of us/you who have been unfairly reported to social svcs. The key point here is what the atty stated: "As long as the car is not out of her sight, then the child is not unattended," she said. I guarantee she will win.

This clearly seems to be an officer with an agenda.

My kids are older, but they sometimes choose to stay in the car if I have to run in for something. Most recently because foot/knee injuries sustained while playing soccer (Jess) and at recess (thank you). She is old enough to babysit, so leaving them is OK. But only in cold weather.

Here we have had a number of babies left in cars all day and found dead. The heat is a killer.

But this mom clearly is NOT deserving of arrest, or any of this.

Ok If she went into the store and shopped then yes arrest her, but come on she just walked other kids to put money in the bucket outside the store. Sounds like this women is being made an example of when she isn't really deserving.
