Important to know about housing placements

difficult child came over today and I asked him if he had met with his caseworker. difficult child said that he did and they had filled out the paperwork for two different housing programs. difficult child also told me that the caseworker told him that since he was homeless and living in a shelter difficult child would be moved to the top of the list as a top priority situation. I thought this was important to share for anyone else who micght find themselves struggling with letting their adult difficult child live under their roof while awaiting a placement. -RM

Yes, I had that told to us too. I had also been told that if they have a criminal record it will hold them out so be prepared. I find that hard to believe though considering the clientele for low income housing. Not making judgments but lets be real, there is normally lots of crime in some low income housing areas. I would think at least some of it is from folks living there and certainly not all of it is first offenses.
