husband texted me a couple of pics of carved pumpkins. I don't think I'll be putting THOSE on the porch though.

I passed the link on to easy child. She'll appreciate it. Darrin doesn't like to carve pumpkins. Last year he thought sister in law was killing it. This would be much better than markers.

Oh, and I also passed along the "other pumpkin decoration" easy child nearly choked to death on her mountain dew.

It is really cute. My easy child thought it was funny. She also thought her mother strange but that stands to reason.

Thanks for this. Although Halloween isn't big here, we have friends who get involved.

We don't generally use pumpkins, it's more effort than people put in, here. But I remember as a kid, making my own mini-lanterns out of an orange instead. I put a birthday cake candle inside. These days there are other safer ways to light up something as small as an orange. They glow beautifully too, through that skin.
