It's Gone!

My sister had an appointment with the specialist today. Not sure if you remember but about a month ago they said the baby had a cystic hygroma which is a cyst on the baby's brain. They did a CVS test and the baby did not have Turner's or Down's.

Well, today they did another sono and the baby doesn't have a cystic hygroma. The doctor said they don't know what happened. He said they could have mistaken it for some other thing and that if it was a hygroma it wouldn't have gone away this fast.

Bottom line, the baby is healthy! :D

How totally absolutely fantabulous!!!! I am SOOO HAPPY for you and for your sister and her family!!!

I for one DO belive that all the prayers you pulled together for your sister, here and in other places, CAN have fixed whatever the problem was. ALSO the body has remarkable abilities to heal, regardless of what the doctor believes.

Celebrate the health of your niece, and your sister! YIPPEEE!!!!

klmno,
Sorry about that. I didn't pay attention to how I worded it at first. I was so excited.:D

Susiestar,
I think the prayers worked too. After the first CVS test that said the baby didn't have Down's or Turners, the doctor said he was almost sure the baby would have another genetic abnormality because Cystic Hygromas mean there is about a 9/10 chance the baby will have other problems.
He said he had never seen anyone's hygroma disappear without a trace like that. She asked why the change and he told her not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
So I we won't. I'm just happy the baby is healthy.:D

Thank you all for praying for our family. It's been a rough month.

Wow, that's fantastic. Some of these tests tell us too much too soon, and unborn babies can change and heal so quickly, it's almost better not to know sometimes.
At any rate, I know they are ecstatic and relieved.
When is the due date?

That is really fantastic. The power of the board prayers always amazes me! I'm so glad you will be an aunt to a perfect, healthy little girl.
