Steely, the absence is huge, but what is harder I think for me? Is that it is nice in so many ways. So much is going to have to change when he comes home, because I will NOT go back to how things were. I like this, no fighting or arguing or yelling.
As for x? I just hope he is able to keep his word to visit difficult child. If he does not? difficult child will be heartbroken, and I am not going to be able or willing to make that up. If his dad screws up? It is on his dad and not me. I just want someone to be there with him at thanksgiving.
