Know what I'm going to do tomorrow?

A friend gave me a gift certificate to a lovely spa here for my birthday. I've waited and waited for the right time to go...and tomorrow is it. It's my one day off.

When I called to make the reservation I asked what it involved. Well...it was a laundry list. All day deal. Then she got to the 'clothing optional area.'

WHAT???:surprise:

I know I get an hour massage, then a 30 minute head massage, then a hand a feet massage. I am SOOO looking foward to it. But the clothing optional spa might be a stretch.

Should be interesting.

easy child and I are treating ourselves when we lose the weight we want. (our goal reward)

Have a wonderful time. Clothing optional part might prove to be interesting. If it's too much, wear dark sunglasses. lol

I am an extremely modest person, but I do so enjoy going to spas. When dealing with public areas--such as saunas, whirlpools I still prefer having a bathing suit on.....not that many people will be naked, just think they want to warn you that you will see people without clothes. Don't feel you have to be that way, unless you are comfortable doing that.....
Have a great day and wish I was there.....

I am lucky enough to be able to get a full body massage every week. Insurance pays all but the co-pay. I don't wear any clothes---it makes it easier for my therapist. I remained covered by the sheet the whole time. Only bits and pieces are exposed.

The only other experience I had was at a very nice place that my daughter gave me a gift certificate. I thought you just went in for the massage, but you can spend the whole day...which I am about to go out to.

Probably not going to visit the clothing optional area. ;) But it's beautiful here today and I'd love to just sit in the sun and read a book after the massage. I don't do hot tubs too well. I can last about 2 minutes and my heart is racing. But give me a lounge chair in the sun...I could stay all day. That is what I attend to do.

Wow...what a day.

husband and I had a big fight at 4am, so the spa was in BIG order.

The guy was wonderful. It was an hour long massage. He put some organic Valium oil in the head thingy and I just laid back and enjoyed. He said I'd sleep like a baby and that I did.

Then I went down to the pool (not the nakey pool!:angry-very:) and fell asleep on a big chair in the sunshine. Woke up starving, so got some food at a nice restaurant in the casino, then went home to no husband, easy child or screaming birds.

Then went asleep again. I think I need some of that oil...or another massage. :) Unfortunately, I can't afford it. It was a nice gift.
