kt is in the hospital.....

Queen of Hearts
After PCA left for the day kt ran ~ told me there was nothing I could do to stop her & that she was getting out of this "prison".

Nothing my behind - I tracked all the numbers she called & informed each of the children she called that I would let the police know that they knew of her whereabouts & something to that effect. Three of her friends gave me the info I needed.

Called the police & had her escorted home as a mentally ill minor. kt arrived her & started up again with the officer in the home. He told her he wouldn't leave unless kt took her medications - well, she too he night time medications along with a dozen extra seroquel. Right or wrong he cuffed her, called EMTs & kt was transported to the hospital.

After only 4.5 hours she was admitted to the psychiatric unit - likely a 72 hour hold.

I cannot wait for my trip to Cleveland if I can get out of town. Right now I'm off to bed.

Here we go again!
Oh man, Linda. I'm glad the cops came and were able to see her in action and get her fanny off to the hospital, but shoot -- it's just too much! A DOZEN extra Seroquel?!!! Did they pump her stomach?

I hope you get some rest tonight so you at least have the energy to find out what to expect over the next few days, and then what to do when she gets back home. Ugh. I sure hope you're still able to get away for the weekend with us.

Roll With It
I am sorry this happened. I wonder if she is trying to sabotage your trip to Cleveland? Good job on calling her friends to find her. I wonder why they always say there is nothing we can do?

The officer cuffed her for her own safety. There was no way of knowing what else she might try to swallow. On the off chance he needed to transport her himself she would have to be cuffed. For safety reasons everyone who rides in the back in the police car must be cuffed. He didn't cuff her to be mean.

It still must have been hard to see him cuff her. I hope you can still go to Cleveland. I also wonder if your actions with this will show CPS that you can STILL handle kt and wm. Cause it isn't about brute strength, it is about mental strength and determination.

Sending many gentle hugs to you, and a wish for a peaceful day, as much as is possible. Take care of yourself.

Linda,
I'm so sorry. You were right on target in calling her friends and telling them you would let the police know that they knew where she was. I wish I lived closer so I could be of some help.

I hope you are able to relax a bit the next few days and I am praying you will still be able to make the trip this weekend.

As always, continued prayers.

Linda,

I'm so sorry... I just want you to know, like the others, I think you handled this situation extremely well. I hope you get to Cleveland this weekend - I'm sending zillions of positive thoughts your way... SFR

Ugh! Thank goodness you have a getaway planned. You will need to recharge!

I think your whole family is spiraling from the death of husband. I wish the professionals could figure out a way to begin the healing for you all in a family way - meaning in one room.
There are some seriously extenuating circumstances here. Not sure the professionals even know how to approach.

I hope kt calms while she is in her 72 hour hold.

I wish for you...peace. Peace in your thoughts. Peace in your dreams.

Hugs. You have been thru too much. Maybe the officer cuffing kt gave her a jolt, let her know how serious her actions were?

I am sitting here shaking my head, she calls your home a prison but then gets sent to the psychiatric unit? Isn't that more of a prison?

Hugs. I hope you make it to cincy, you do need a break.

Love me...Love me not
Linda--

Sending (((hugs))) and support. How scary!! Good thing KT pulled her "overdose stunt" in front of an officer instead of behind closed doors....

Going Green
Sending hugs as well Linda. I'm at a loss for words here but I wish there was something I could do or say. I hope Kt can make some good decisions while in the hospital. I also hope that you take this time to catch your breath. I hope you can still make the trip, I think you need this. But, if you can't it's understandable. Let us know if there's anything we can do.

So sorry about this latest scary-awful episode. Maybe it's helpful that others could see that you were right on top of the situation.

I hope that kt gets the help she needs and you get some much-needed rest.

(((more hugs)))

Geeze Linda,

so sorry. She's intent on pushing your buttons. I'm glad you found her so quickly. One lesson she really should have learned by now is not to mess with you. When are you leaving for Cleveland?

I just read this and am sorry you now have more to deal with. I just hope that all this somehow works to show them that you all need more help, not more trouble.
