KtMom, Janet?

The ortho doesn't want to do surgery. I went in last Sept, had an MRI, and the meniscus was torn on the inside of my knee. Now, I'm complaining of pain on the outside of my knee. He gave me a cortisone shot, and prescribed physical therapy, which will be cost prohibitive right now. So I guess I'll just tough it out, and see if things get worse anytime soon. We're getting ready to drop the COBRA, because it's more than our house payment is, and we can't do both for too much longer.

Thank you for asking, TM!

The cortisone shot reduced the inflammation for the immediate future on the right knee. We are putting off replacing the knees as long as possible because of age. Also I will not do anything to be in a hospital while dad is sick because I need to be able run at the drop of a hat.

My choice is going to be live with pain but I am going to try a few things with that choice. Im going to get a referral to an actual arthritis clinic here and a pain doctor. Not just stay with my family doctor anymore.
