Happy Leap Day everybody!

Exactly 8 Years Ago Today, we brought my difficult child into a juvenille treatment center. He was 14 years old. Among all the other wildly desparate thoughts I had that day, I was struck by the fact that it was such a unique date as I signed & dated all the paperwork. I wondered if that would have any significance.

See, told you I was wildly desparate.

Eight years ago, I was celebrating my grandparents' 14th wedding anniversary (due to WWII the only day my grandpa had to get married was Tuesday Feb 29, 1944!) and reviewing the paperwork to decide if we wanted to adopt Kanga and Piglet. My life would have been so different if we had said no.

I was thinking it would be a wedding anniversary I would be reading about!

I am glad I don't have an unusual date or time to remind me of the things that have happened year after year.

I hope you will post an update. The last I remember hearing, difficult child was using again. Have things gotten any better?
