Yesterday I did not lose my temper.
Yesterday difficult child finished 2 of his homework papers and read his practice book to us.
Yesterday difficult child earned a treat after dinner.
Yesterday at school difficult child "only" got 1 bad mark instead of 2.
And we're one day closer to the neuropsychologist exam - 1 week away!

(oh, and I was perfect on my diet, too! I don't know who I was channeling, but it must have been someone who has it all together)

Agee,

sounds like a great day yesterday! Those great days are there to remind us that there can be smiles and some kind of normalcy when we are in the midst of the tough days!

Hope the smoothness continues.....

Isn't it great to have a good day?

Please be careful with food treats if that is what you gave. My parents used food for treats with me and it has established a long term issue with food for comfort and weight problems. Undoing the subconcious confusion from food has been a battle. There are so many ways to give rewards besides food.

Of course it is different for every person. It may work fine for some.

I know how nice it is to have a difficult child budge toward something good. I don't want to minimize your successful day. That is GREAT news. I wish you many more of those days. :D
