my friend at work is missing

The company fired my friend today. They fired her, for walking out because she was scared. But they refuse to fire the person with a bad background check and who has made threats.
I believe the world I live in has now gone bonkers.
Time to move on.
It is just so hard with this economy to do so, but I will.
