I spent the day yesterday at a NAMI conference. I was a bit surprised that they had listed Aspergers as a mental health issue, but no other spectrum disorder was.
They spent quite a bit of time doing an overview of Explosive Child. It was a pretty good review, but overwhelmed some of the parents there who had never heard of it.
The people giving the conference were knowledgable. One had three kids with bipolar and the other had one with anxiety and depression and works doing research on Aspergers.
I would recommend taking part if you need a refresher course on what, why and how.
