Funny...he didn't seem at all upset that his pals knocked down his sculpture. I got the sense that knocking down all the cards is part of the process for him.

I feel that way about jigsaw puzzles. I love to do them, and as soon as I finish I take a moment to admire my handiwork, and then break it up and put it back in the box.

I think the impermanence of the house of cards is part of the experience.
