And it's LOVELY!!!!!! and I teared up. DF got his hearing aids yesterday. The smile on his face, all the fear of having the stigma of hearing "aids", and for the first time in years when I spoke he turned and looked at me!! He didn't even realize that he had turned to look at me. IT.WAS. AWESOME. I finally got to say walking behind him - "I love you" in a whisper and he heard me and said "I love you too." Of course in true me form? I bounced all over the place all through the halls of the hearing center saying "Can you hear me now?" (giggle) GOOD! "Can you hear me now?" (giggle) GOOD. I was so excited I really couldn't have put it into words. They said the look on my face was joy - and that was good enough for me. But the GREATEST "AH HA" moment came when DF said later that night..."OMG I know exactly why you HATE those plastic bags - OMG they SOUND awful." ROFLMBO - and here's another revelation....He said later "Could you put those CHIPS in a bowl and stop rattling the bag?" OH OF COURSE......lol. Yeah I love it - he's only at 80% - hearing. He goes in a few weeks to be adjusted ---I can't wait! Even the TV? Couldn't hear it past the door. You used to be able to hear it down by the mail box - about 500 ft. from the door....I think the dogs were more than amazed. They're still in shock. lol
