1 scant cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream (if you can get real cream and sour it, it works MUCH better than purchased sour cream - if you can't, carnation and vinegar works as good or better)
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
vanilla
Flour (enuf to roll)
cream butter and eggs, add sugar. Add ingredients except flour, mix. Add flour to consistency to roll. (chill to aid in rolling)
Roll on floured surface, cut, bake 325 for 7-9 minutes
