Have you read "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by Mark Haddon? It's written from the point of view of someone with Asperger's but it would be a relevant read to anyone with a suspected Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) child. It's fiction - Mark Haddon himself does not have Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) - but it's an enlightening, inspiring read. ********** Oh, I'm so glad you mentioned this, Marg. I LOVE that book! I was thinking that the protagonist was more full blown autistic than At any rate, the author has vast experience working with-these kids and speaks from experience. I just love that it's that point of view. The scary part was the page that showed all the letters mixed up, when the protagonist got stressed... I do that. I was begining to see myself in a lot of those situations... those noise, the lights... But I think that's why he's such a good writer, because he draws you in so you understand what it's like to live in that sort of mindset. I hope he sells a kazillion copies.
