This is interesting to me, because Youngest had pretty horrible reactions to smoking pot, she became extremely paranoid and was convinced she was going to die. One episode was so bad I took her to the ER, convinced someone had laced the pot with something else, but all they found when testing her was THC. The doctor told me that some people just have that reaction to THC. "Some people" might just mean, people with certain mental illnesses?

"Normal" pot smokers I have known just get mellow.

Could be. I know that paranoia is a typical response for those who smoke a lot of pot. Those who smoke it only occasionally, say, once a mo, tend to get mellow.

Clearly, the chemicals in it react differently to individuals whose individual chemical makeup is skewed to begin with.
