It has been reported that calls to mental health hotlines has increased significantly since this happened. At church last night, our pastor spoke about his bout with clinical depression that came close to him dying at his own hand. This was not the intended topic of our study. So many people in our congregation came forward sharing their personal struggles or those of their loved ones. The church has a mental health support group that meets once a month. We will now meet weekly.

His life was an inspiration to many. His death may prove to be an even bigger inspiration.
