Kanga has had a horrible week.
Monday- she stole $20 from a classmates purse (not caught)
Tuesday - refused to complete her homework despite being told that she would be required to sit out a game this weekend if it wasn't done
Wednesday - apparently she bragged about having $20 and one of the other girls put 2 and 2 together and confronted Kanga and she confessed, apologized and returned the money
Thursday - her teacher finds out about the stealing, Kanga claims that I already know and that we talk it through, confesses to lying when the teacher says good, then when I call her., mom will already know; gets detention for stealing & lying; complete brat, mouthy refuse to comply, etc.
When calm, claims to be having "bad memories" (flashbacks) to abuse she suffered in the last foster home -- expected as she has been having flashbacks for over a year now and the therapist is a specialist in PTSD and is working through them with her, but these events she 'remembered' this week are basically the worst of the things that happened to her.
husband is taking the younger 3 away for the weekend as she tends to process through this stuff better if I can spend a few days just focused on her (although she is still grounded for the stealing. lying, Fs on homework).
Hopefully she can use this weekend to share and process through stuff versus just sassing me for 3 days.
