Saddened by a death...

of someone I didn't know. Well, not really know, though I'd met him a few times while attending concerts and clubbing in Toronto. Martin Streek, a long-time dj for CFNY in Toronto was found dead on Monday, apparently a suicide.

It's so sad that someone so young is gone (45). I feel horrible for his friends, family and colleagues.

I would have picked out his voice in a crowd any time.

I really hate hearing about people committing suicide. It's just so sad that someone feels life is that worthless. I would feel sad, too, TM

TM, I was very sad to hear this as well. CFNY was my favoutire radio station for years and years, and I used to follow Martin Streek's live-to-air show around to the various clubs where he played back in the day.

Although he was a very popular on-air guy, the radio station recently downsized him out of his job. I wonder if he felt like he just didn't have a place anymore.

Very sad.
