Anyone know what helps shingles?
here's some good information - http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/shingles/shingles-treatment-overview
My uncle had shingles a number of years ago and he was late getting treatment. After the actual rash was gone, he had pain for a number of months.
Hope you get some good information. I think getting to the doctor and getting some anitvirals is the first step.
My mom suffered terribly from shingles at least twice. At her worst she had accupuncture and it helped.
My uncle had shingles really bad while going through treatment for cancer. He said acupuncture worked for him even when morphine did not.
Thanks. boyfriend came down with this today. Well, it has been coming on for a few days. Got the rx filled as soon as we could this morning.
I feel so bad for him.
A good roofer and a nail gun! ????? :crazy1:
Star - thank you! I needed that!
I'm here all week BW.......
Acupuncture, yes, and when my husband had shingles, he experimented on himself at his clinic and made some kind of an aspirin paste and ran ultrasound over it. It lasted for about 4 hrs, but hey, 4 hrs of relief a day is better than nothing. I don't know who you could find to do that ... maybe a friend who could do it as a favor because I don't know what's covered under ins.
