SSI/disability appointment

Just to let you guys know I went to the Social Security office with-difficult child and filed for SSI & SSDI. I tried to take as much information with me as possible. I think the case worker really appreciated it, although she didn't keep all of it. We kept the work history and functionality report for later use. I was told difficult child would be contacted at a later date. I hope they contact Me instead as I am not sure how he will answer things. I filled out the form and asked to be made representative payee. He signed off on this request as well, so that is good.
They said it would take 3-6 months before we hear anything. Ug.

Oh yes, we made an appointment ahead of time and that was a HUGE difference in the amount of time we had to wait. I felt sorry for the people there without appointments.
