Hi, I used to be on here a lot for my oldest son who has ADHD. But, he's become very manageable with Adderall, so I haven't been on here much. This post is about my middle child, who is now 4 years old, who has been somewhere in between a easy child and a difficult child. My 4 year old has been having horrible fits at night, every night for about a week. First, when it's time to go to bed, as he's starting to fall asleep he starts complaining that his hands feel too hot. This escalates to complete meltdown. The whole time he's squirming, kicking, hitting himself in the head, and yelling "my hands are hot, my hands are hot, help me". It takes him 10 minutes to a few hours for him to calm down and eventually fall asleep after he's completely exhausted himself (and the rest of us). He then usually wakes up again in the middle of the night, and it starts again. We've tried lotion, giving him a bath, having him run cold water over his hands, having him hold bags of ice wrapped in paper towels. Nothing is working. I think he's just in a very strange cycle that he can't get out of. Any ideas? Have any of you seen this kind of thing with your kids? I thought that if anyone could be help me, it would be you all. Thanks so much! --Pam
