I'm pretty sure I've read this article or one very similar, Sheila. On the other hand, I've heard this ad nauseum from my various & sundry doctors over the last 7 months I love technology - I hate the pace it's forced upon us. I hate the instant gratification necessary to stay in business, to please the children - even to wait out a home loan or car deal. I miss the quiet - the time taken to knit or join a quilting circle. I hate golfing & a cell phone rings. I've slowly learned to turn off telephones during a certain period of my day; I use that time to relax in whichever way I choose. None of it is high tech. It's writing, drawing, painting, knitting, cooking, gardening, - something that takes my mind & body & puts them to work. If I had the say, I'd turn off all the noise in my house all day; give kt & husband an hour a day to play & turn off. Unfortunately, husband works from home doing somehthing involving a network of 4 computers. I'm done venting & thank you again for the reminders. Our children, while not the only stressor in our lives, contribute greatly by their very illnessess/disorders.
