Just someone to have lunch and chat with would have helped me tremendously, but I think they stayed away because of fear. One parent actually said to me, "When ever I start feeling sorry for myself I remind myself of you and your situation , and I don't feel so bad". Wow, that was hard to take along with the abandonment. </p><p></p><p>Fortunately, I have other good friends now. I'm there for them, and they are there for me.
