I loathe ATM fees. Banks make millions from these and they are almost all profit for the bank. Costs to operate an ATM are staggeringly low for the bank and charging the account holder anywhere from $1 to $3 is reprehensible, in my opinion.
I was on my bank website earlier and hit the wrong button. I ended up on a page discussing fee-free ATM's. I thought that only the ATM'S operated by our bank were free of charge. I am very happy to say this is not the case.
