I knew you'd eventually have some thoughts Marg. I just had to be patient and wait for them! What's a Connors test? Little Cherub goes to a daycare centre 3 x a week and to her gran's the other days. Mom has very little to do with her through the day, she's a pain the the xxxx?? I need my space/time. etc. I'm looking forward to having them for a little bit in the upcoming September holidays (I think!) I suggested to her that she get linked up with the Special Education pre school. They can go before age 4. And that she might benefit from learning some signs. She says she knows some already, 'yes' 'no' and 'thank you'. I knew I was wasting my breath. She said she doesn't know where the autism has come from in the family, as her partner's doesn't have any...... Oh Marg. I really had to hold my tongue! these people really have no idea! have you any idea where I can gt a DVD with some signs on? Or maybe I will contact the special school myself and find out some of the options available. I did have a foster child some years ago that attended, and it was brilliant. They even picked him up in a taxi each time as it was too far for me, when I had 3 under 3. So, there is government assistance for transport as well. I will talk to the community visitor about pulling a few more strings to get an order on these kids asap. Here's hoping. Yes, I got some chocoate tonight, and I have worked out some sneaky hidey holes..... but i bought it to eat, not play hide and seek with!
