Thanks to all of you for your words or support and wisdom. I take each and every post to heart. I've stayed away from Sweet Bets the last 4 days. I wanted to give her time to think. She called yesterday, was feeling somewhat better and has secured a place to live with friends. Found out one of her girlfriends beat her up...some friend huh? She was back to the same ole attitue. Just need to learn to drink in moderation. easy child and I were talking last nite. Betsy has done a ton of drugs, but never has been addicted to any. She tried cocaine a couple of times, didn't like the way it made her feel, so didn't do it again. Same with a variety of other drugs. Hoping she'll feel the same about alcohol. I will be looking for an Al-Anon group tomorrow. I do really need the support. Things are calm now, but I doubt they will stay that way for very long. They never do. I've spent the last few days cuddled up on the couch. Needed the rest and am back on my game. Been spending lots of time with easy child, who is the best. She doesn't suffer from any of the issues Sweet Betsy does and for that I am greatful. Thanks again for being there for me. You guys are the best. Love and Blessings, Julie
