Teen's suicide fueled by too-strict discipline

    Sounds like the downward spiral really started after the school district came down on him. He had a really good chance of getting through everything else with his teammates being supportive.

    in my opinion, zero-tolerance policies are great on paper, but seriously hoover in real life.

    As a lawyer, my advice is that even if you don't "lawyer up" in public, make sure you speak to one in private and know what to say and what not to say.

    What a heartbreaking story... That poor mother, to see her son die before her and feel the guilt that her illness made him act that way and that poor father, to lose his entire family so needlessly.
