    I think it's only half the story... and not quite totally fairly written. I wish they would do "per capita" stats, instead of raw numbers, for the international comparisons... I doubt Canada is THAT much different... but with way less population, it skews the comparison.

    The other half of the story is partly... activity - lack of opportunity, costs, etc. that make activity levels of 40 and 50 years ago difficult to achieve. And partly... food access. When the "good" food is outrageously expensive... people can't afford it. It's not totally a "fast-food" issue, its a "food quality" issue.

    Apparently "pink slime" has been masquerading in our meat cases as ground beef. My son calls the bagged chicken nuggets "mutant chicken"
