[QUOTE="susiestar, post: 369705, member: 1233"] Remember, vodka on ice looks a lot like ice water!! A friend of mine brings a big bottle anytime she has to see her in-laws. her husband and his bro started it. Their mother is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) about cleanliness and organization. She will wash your dinner plate 4 minutes after dinner is served. Every time!! She sets a timer and insists that her grown sons chew each bite sixty times. They go out for a "walk" three times a day - to go eat! That is one of the minor things the woman does. She is rabid about alcohol being the devil's tool but she has NO idea what it looks, smells or tastes like, LOL. So the adults run interference for the kids and drink "ice water" most of the time. visits are NEVER more than 3 days because that is all the patience my friend has. The inlaws do not come to her house because she refuses to clean for them. They came once and the mom was upset and gave her lectures on cleaning. J handed her a bottle of cleaner and a rag and said the place looked fine to her, but if it was a problem she could fix it if she wanted, but she couldn't move ANYTHING because it was all arranged just like she wanted it. J's house is clean in a normal "a family with 2 active kids lives here" kind of way, but the mother in law is extremely Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). mother in law has not ever returned, something that J's husband is grateful for!
