[QUOTE="SuZir, post: 574131, member: 14557"] This really is a good time to teach him this lesson. And time management is such a critical skill to learn. In the long run it really doesn't matter at all how badly he bombs his courses this period or even next one. There are so many courses during High School that few even very bad grades don't make a big difference on GPA in the end. And especially when final exams in the end of high school and entrance exams are the most important when applying to next level. And he can even retake the courses and only have the better grade to show in his report card if he wants to. And still bombing few courses would sting. He has always been a good student and he is ambitious with his school work. He will be disappointed with himself, if he does badly. And that will teach him. Being a super kid he is, I'm sure he will learn quite quickly and this lesson will serve him well. But still I really hate doing this to him. As you can see, I'm quite sure I'm doing the right thing and I'm all the time repeating myself it is a right thing and why I should do it. But you are right, parenting is not for the faint of heart.
