At the National Spelling Bee, one of the contestants -- the kid who ultimately won, by the way -- misheard the word he was asked to spell. It was such a funny misunderstanding and the kid's reaction is just great.

The term is still used in the UK for a sheepskin or fleece pad used under a saddle. I have to admit that the first time *I* heard the term, I thought it was "something else" as well and nearly fell over.
