Tic Bite Causes Meat Allergy!!

    Yup. Researchers in VA have found that a bite by a Lone Star tick is actually causing allergy to meat. It is a supposedly completely new type of allergy where hives show up 3-4 hours after you eat meat. This is not bogus or a spoof or scam.

    This is a link to ABC News with a video interviewer with a researcher and others involved or afflicted with this. There are apparently 1000 (one thousand, not a typo!) cases that have been found in Virginia.

    Now we have another reason to be careful about ticks!
