Update on difficult child-Ant

Well, he had his evaluation today. He got approved for inpatient. His counselor is going to have him go in right after Christmas - that way he can be with the family.

He needs to go to AA meeting, as many as he can get in for he goes.

Since the Counselor is very close to husband, she let us know that he's ready. He wants to work the program. She's got good hopes for Ant. And since she was also difficult child-Step's counselor and was well aware that Steph wasn't ready... I just her judgement.

The hardest part was listening to Ant and his counselor after the evaluation. Ant was being very honest with us about what & how much he's done. It was heart breaking.

But, with Ant going into rehab right after Christmas, it's going to be a happy holiday.

That's good news. Rehab is a difficult process and hopefully he is ready to do the hard work it will require. He is willing, there is a lot to hope for.

Fingers crossed and prayers being said for all of you. It's a hard process, I hope he can successfully complete the program and get back on the right path.
