I see lots of us are making "Brownies", still... cough cough JJJ, Here is the recipe: Winter squash chai bread: 1/2 cup Sugar 1/2 cup butter room temp (I used unsalted) 1 cup mashed cooked squash, such as butternut or acorn 2 large eggs 1/2 cup liquid chai concentrate 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp each: ground cardamon, ginger and freshly ground pepper 1/4 tsp each: ground allspice, cloves, nutmeg 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 1. Pre-heat oven to 350. In the bowl of a large stand mixer, mix sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add squash, eggs, chai and vanilla and stir until well blended. To the squash mixture add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, spices and nuts stir until just blended and evenly moistened. Pour batter into a buttered 4x8 in" loaf pan. 2. Bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 45-55 minutes. Let cool on wired rack at least 10 minutes. :)
