Weaned off Seroquel...What did you experiencew/your difficult child?

difficult child was titrated slowly off of Seroquel. He was completely off it 1 week and 4 days ago. He has been on it for about 2.5 years, a low dose of 100mg am, .5 in the afternoon and .25 before bed. He's done amazing going down on it, no issues at all. Now that it is almost completely out of his system we are seeing more back talk lately (here & at school) and issues going to bed (he's usually zonked by 8:30, last night resistance and running around, didn't fall asleep until 9:40 very unusual) and a substantial decrease in appetite (thank goodness, it made him want to eat, eat, eat).

He is still currently on 20mg Fluoxetine 1X day and 2 mg Intuniv 1X day.

Has anyone experienced a difficult child coming off Seroquel and what did you see?

Thank you.

My won was on 400 mgs. of Seroquel for a year. We weaned him off and in his case he was more alert and seemed happier. We didn't see any negative affects from his going off of it. Probably isn't helpful, but this was our experience.
