Well, it looks as if we are heading towards day 2 of being late/school refusal.
Well, we ended up at school on times, but she refused/couldn't get out of the car. So, a call to guidance, and a ride around to the back of the school. We did talk for a little bit, and she is just absolutely terrified to step foot into her first period class because she has missed so much. So we sat in the car and discussed her options. Once we talked about it, and why she was so scared, she managed to walk into the building on her own!!! Unescorted!! She made a plan as to what she wanted to do about the class, and everything. So, while she was late, I still view it as a major step. She entered the building on her own even though she was late. Is it weird to say that I am proud of her for that?
