"The single most valuable component of being here for me, wasn't the advice I got, (although that was monumentally helpful) it was the knowledge that I wasn't alone anymore, that there were others out there who were going through this devastating landscape, that I had actually found a community of parents who knew how this felt.........for me that was nothing short of a miracle. For me that sense of belonging bridges the waters of our human foibles." recovering I agree wholeheartedly with this. I joined recently and, although I haven't followed every bit of advice, I have taken the bits that help, and I feel 100 times better than I did a month ago. I'm functioning on a day-to-day basis, rather than waking up in the morning and wanting to dig myself a pit and bury myself in it. As someone asking for advice, I know that all parents are not 'experts' in all cases, but the value of sharing experience can't be underestimated.
