Sigh, it's all gone, we did the deed on New Year's Day... I always get so depressed to see it leave. January is so bleak....
When do you take it all down???

Not before Epiphany. Usually the weekend after. And maybe not then if it's going to snow because all January snowstorms should be lit by Christmas tree light.
Except last year. The tree was in the process of taking itself down needle by needle. I had to get it out of the house before it was little more than a trunk with branches sitting in a pile of needles.
When I lived in Alaska I really learned to appreciate putting Christmas lights up early and taking them down late. Dark winters needs some brightness.
