[QUOTE="tinamarie1, post: 78651, member: 255"] I really don't know how to handle my feelings about this. I know that people lead busy lives, so I even remind my inlaws and my family that difficult child's birthday is coming about 10-14 days ahead of time. Well, difficult child's birthday was today and no gifts, no cards, no phone calls from MY family...inlaws sent him gifts. I am not from a big family, its me and my sister, she has 2 kids and I have 2 kids. I know that difficult child probably doesn't even realize they forgot, but its the principal of the thing. I DONT FORGET THEIR BIRTHDAYS. I always spend about $30 on my niece and nephews b. day. And they don't even call to say thank you. do any of you deal with this? and do you continue to give gifts to people who don't even acknowledge yours or your kids b.days? also people who don't even call to say, gee thanks for that gift/ card/ money?
