I bet you are right. There are some diseases that it is common for the patient to figure it out before the doctors and then find a doctor who will treat it.

husband had pituitary surgery a few years ago. His endocrinologist told him to go to a specialist who does lots of the surgeries and that we would need to travel. We ended up going to Virginia where the surgeon did nothing but pituitary surgeries. PM me if you are interested in his name.

I hope this is the answer you have been looking for.

FOP, if it comes to that, I'll send you a PM. Thanks for the offer. I'm pretty sure, though, especially with OSU and our other hospital systems that I would be able to find someone locally.

I just hope I'm right.

Heather, if anyone is going to be right about this, you are. You've done so much research, I would be surprised if you weren't right. However, if you're wrong, we'll be here for you. To hold you, hug you, stand behind and beside you. Whatever happens, we're here and we care so very, very much.

Sending many positive thoughts your way...........

It looks like Cushings can also be brought on by high levels, consistently, of the stress hormone cortisol. With all of the stress you have been under in your life, this is certainly another reason the Cushings could have developed.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
