what do the evaluation reports say? what tests were administered? what are the scores and subscores? what are the reccomendations of the SD?

you should have a detailed report(s) in your hand--if they just "told you" she had a score of 80 out of 90-110 thats inadequate--and could mean anything.

right now, its really the most important part of your arsenal to formulate an IEP....i dont honestly care what the author of "so your child is BiPolar (BP)" thinks an iep should look like, because frankly, some of those type of things are dangerous--this is the real world, not fantasy iep-island. i've seen reccomendations in print that are absurd, and would be impossible to implement.

you need to work off her quantified test results/report and go from there.

(saying quietly: it is immensely conceiveable, that if this deficeit is on an achievement test, that not only is anxiety playing a role, but so is disteachia/noteachia for the last few years--so keep that in mind for *your* own head)
