Help...daughter has to dress up like an 80s celebrity

My daughter has to dress up and look similar to an 80s female celebrity, can be any genre. My daughter is very slim, has long blonde hair, and blue eyes. I am having difficulty seeing her as anybody from the 80s, so if anybody has any suggestions we can use all help. Thanks in advance.

Think Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt from the 1985 movie Girls Just Want to Have Fun.

I was thinking Madonna. That's easy.

Oversized black sweatshirt, cut sleeves almost off (at the shoulders) White tank top underneath. Big shiny metallic belt. White capri leggings, booties. Lots of fake jewelry, black eyeliner and then see Mustang's post on 80's and read about hairstyle. Stiff stuff (I think they still sell it at Kmart).

Oh, and don't forget to tell her not to shave her armpits for a couple of weeks! (sorry, had to type that....lmbo)

Question Re: Help...daughter has to dress up like an 80s celebrity

How about girl singer, Debbie Gibson. Sounds like it would be an easy one for her to pull off. She has long straight blonde hair.

    Ms. PacMan?

I'd say Margaret Thatcher but the hair would be all wrong.

    Princess Di.

This is sad. Surely there had to be other prominent women in the '80s besides pop stars.
