    Talking Ty's Report Card

We got Ty's report card. It is amazing. No grade below a 92%, he is actually having fun with the gifted class teacher who his sibling both hated (and she was really really NOT good to them), AND this first quarter Ty had ZERO absences!!!

He has been handling the sensory stuff so much better this year. No days at home just shaking b/c it was too much in class, just overall WONDERFUL!!

That is awesome Susie, hope it continues...liking your teacher, having a good relationship there, can make a real difference.

    Re: Ty's Report Card

Oh, his teacher has the ONE important quality to make her every third grade boy's dream teacher.

She owns a PIZZA place with her husband!

    LOL!!!

I dread what it will be in a few years when they all want the "cute" looking teacher. At this age, owning a pizza place is ALL they ask for, LOL!!!! The school grouped the kids by ability this year, rather than by handicap. LAst year was so hard b/c there were 4 kids with ASD in his classroom, none in the other classrooms. IT was a very difficult group. He sitll had top grades, but missed 8-14 days per quarter! Just would be so overstimulated he couldn't function.

this year he is in classes with the "smart" kids, ones he has known before. And they are challenging each other. He is loving it.

So glad he is doing well this year. It can make a big difference who surrounds our kids on how they do.

Hey, a pizza place is important -- even in your teens! Gotta eat and cute girls are way better than cute teachers and you gotta eat, man!

WTG Ty on the grades. It is so good when our kids can be challenged by other kids and accept it as a challenge rather than something to fight about. Both you and he should be proud of himself.
