17 YO with ODD and probably BiPolar (BP), wilderness camps?

Having a real problem with my son. He is under doctor's care and on a host of medications. He has dropped out of school with only an 8th grade education, has zero social skills, cannot maintain hygiene, sleeps all the time, generally no ambition. Stretches the truth. Am thinking about one of these wilderness camps as a way to get him self-reliant and possibly go back to school, even a therapeutic school, does anyone have experience with any of the camps? And how do I get him to want to go!

Thanks!

17 is a hard age. Mine went to a wilderness camp for over a year but he was much younger. He started when he had just turned 11. At 17, I think I would look towards something like Jobs Corps because Im not sure that a short course in wilderness camp will do much good...but then it might. Not sure how you would get it funded either. That is always an issue.
