[QUOTE="Iwantpeace, post: 657998, member: 18531"] CaliforniaBlond, To me someone toxic in my life is someone who keeps me from being who I need to be. They drain me, use me, stress me and are untrustworthy, rob me of my joy. I'm sorry your friend of so long has said these terrible things to you. It hurts more when it has been such a long and close friendship. I think maybe she didnot want to be there for you as a true friend anymore. My own family I feel has left me out of their lives because it's easier to turn there backs than to be a support system. It hurts and I'm so sorry. I have to believe after all you've been through that you will handle this like a champ. I don't think it has anything to do with you really, but it's her issue. I know it doesn't make it hurt any less but I do believe everytime a door has been shut in my life and I get down the road a little later, I look back and see where it was a blessing in disguise.
